Well, this little peanut has already made her big debut to around 70,000 people and she is only 11 days old! Yep, this is little miss Analyse, the sweetheart from the birth photos I featured on the blog last week. Just look how much she has changed since then! I guess a good cleanin’ will do that for a girl. 
She is just such a sweet, sweet baby. I’ve never had a newborn cooperate as well as she did for her “sleeping baby” photos. She just slept and let me move her around, NAKED, from dish to ottoman to bean bag and back to the dish. *Sigh* What an angel…
By the way, just for scale, that red fuzzy thing is MY hat! She is tiny!
At the risk of sounding completely cheesy , “I’ve known this kid since he was this big (holds hand at some imaginary height approximation)”. Aaron is the son of our great friends Sean and Misty and it has been a pleasure to watch him grow into the Godly young man that he is. Aaron was around nine years old when John and I got married and he asked his parents “when Maggie grows up is she going to be as big as John?”. You see, I’m not quite 5′2″ and John is 6′ 3″. I guess to a nine year old who was nearly as tall as me, that was a valid question! Sorry, Aaron, for doing the uncool thing and bringing up a story from your childhood. I guess I am getting old… Thanks so much with putting up with me on our shoot, we managed to pull off some awesome shots even if you were a little bit “distracted” .
Tessa gently reminded me today via facebook that she is ready to see more of her sneak peek. I am, of course, always happy to oblige. 
Derek and Tessa are such a lovely couple. Tessa is care free, artsy, quirky and full of life. And though I’ve only been around him briefly, I can tell that Derek is Tessa’s steadfast, logical, feet on the ground sweetheart. Every Tessa needs a Derek and every Derek needs a Tessa. These two LOVE God and have such a passion to serve him and minister to the needs of those who are lost and hurting in this world. I am so blessed to know them! Tessa is a fellow photographer and she has such an incredible future ahead of her in this industry. You can see her heart through her work and I know she is going to be BIG some day! My session with little “R” today was loads of fun! As you can see, she is FULL of personality and has the biggest blue eyes that just sparkle! R was a trooper because it was COLD out during our shoot and she graciously tolerated me and my camera though her little teeth were chattering. (no children were harmed during this photo shoot, we took breaks and went in where is was warm ! ) I only had about 5 minutes with R’s big sis, but she WORKED IT for that 5 minutes and we pulled out some fantabulous (yes, that’s a word) shots! Leah, thanks so much for letting me enjoy your kiddos for the afternoon. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

I was so honored to photograph the birth of my dear friend Sarah’s baby girl today! She had a c-section and beautiful little “A” arrived around 1:00 this afternoon. Having had two c-sections myself, it was so awesome to actually be able to see and experience what is going on behind the mysterious blue curtain that the momma has to lay behind while your baby is being whisked off out of sight! What a rush!!! I really appreciate the staff at Baptist in LR allowing me to photograph the baby after she was out. Everyone was so kind and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about how they handled themselves in the OR. Sarah’s Dr. was such a kind and gentle man as well. It really is a blessing to have a medical staff with such wonderful bedside manners! I know that David and Sarah appreciate it so much. On to the pictures!!!

It is such a blessing and compliment to have repeat clients. This is my third time shooting this beautiful family and I am just shocked at how much the kids have grown in a year! I know that is what happens with kids, but it still doesn’t change the fact that I’m shocked by it! Here is what they looked like this time last year. The girls are now quite a bit taller than their mom! Here is what they look like today…
